Some recent pics from friends above.
After a long 1 1/2 years of transitioning to new staff, I believe we are there.
Dennis is managing the camp now and handles reservations and check-outs and many of the day to day matters. He is living in the single-wide trailer - old cabin #6, has a positive attitude and stays with his dog Midnight. He also gives his mom a hand with her property over in Pomona Park. He has really made our operations smoother and is great with tech stuff also.

The photo of the dock from the water has a sailboat docked to the north. That would be the home of Dena Dalbney and Gary Voigt, who live-aboard and fill the roles of Guest Relations Manager and Dockmaster. Dena is great with organizing the cabins, cooking and just being friendly, and Gary is a great guy, great carpenter and will help guests around the dock.

Their friends Marsha and Ronnie have also been assisting in the cabin cleaning and with a variety of tasks that only the fishcamp could drum up. Marsha has given the cabins a great new, fresh feel and Ronnie knows fishing on the River from his childhood.

All in all, these five folks have great attitudes and are a pleasure to be with. After all, it is the people of Stegbone's that make it a wonderful place to be. We look forward to you meeting them.

We have also done a lot of additional repair work and are continuing to do so. Trees have all been limbed-up to help with the views, the Outback where Karla lived behind the double-wide (#7) is being cleaned up and will become a new cabin rental with a single and a double bed. It is very private and has a nice, modern and comfortable interior. The little RV behind #1 can even be used in a pinch for a one-man hunting cabin. Cabins are being power-washed and have been thoroughly cleaned. And carpets were steam cleaned. So we will be well-prepared for your spring visit and beyond.

Jim is staying in 142 NFC Rd, the block house to the north on the water that we rented years ago and Terry lived in more recently. He has cleaned it up some and really enjoys being there, and as a result, has taken the camp off the market.

Of special note, we have moved our office into the south end of 142 NFC Road, just north of #5 and where you will see the utility golf cart parked. We store our linens in well-lit, air conditioned space now and have re-organized all of our supplies and office set-up. It works great.

So, after seven year of not really knowing what would exactly happen, Stegbone's is back to what it wants to be - the best and last true fishcamp on the River. Come join us!

Catch ya later.

mid April, 2015...Stegbone's is THE best fish camp you will find anywhere. It is a real "gem" of "Old Florida" and has to be experienced. The ownership and staff of Stegbone's are outstanding and SO very helpful and friendly. The fishing is great. The cabins are wonderful and relaxing...a real experience of how things used to be. Do yourself the favor of experiencing Stegbone's Fish Camp. You will love it. My wife and I cannot wait to make another stay there.
